Cash Investors - CD Option
Lender's core business is loans against cash-backed SBLC's.
Any SBLC these days is cash-backed. We don't know of any bank within the last year accepting anything other
than cash to back their SBLC's.
As such, if there is a cash-backed SBLC you are going to be bringing (which it should be), our suggestion is your
investor instead park that cash with our banker(VP/Private Banker) at Boston Private in a CD.
We'll make a loan against that CD(100% LTV minus interest reserve), your investor keeps the interest on the CD
and we will charge a very low interest rate on the loan (Prime plus half a point) for whatever term the client wants.
Loan amount can be as low as $1 million.
CD Interest Rates: More than competitive with any major bank. Determined after confirmation of cash.
Time to Close: Approx 3 weeks
General Lending Benefits:
No risk assessment, no approval of projects, no equity, no lender fees, no money down, 100% LTV minus an
interest reserve, 100% at closing (not a line of credit), loan is non-recourse to borrower and project (lender calls on
the bankable guarantee, not the project), funding time line of 5 days after final docs, no post funding reporting, no
oversight (audits, frequent reviews, board representation), no covenants and reporting to credit agencies,
simultaneous closing is possible.
CLIENT’S GUARANTOR/INVESTOR DOES NOT HAVE TO MOVE MONEY FIRST TO START THE PROCESS.
WE ARE NOT ASKING FOR AN INSTITUTION TO ISSUE AN INSTRUMENT AS A FIRST STEP.
In general, all deal submissions should include:
1) Name and full contact info of the investment-grade rated guarantor in the proposed deal.
2) Name and full contact info of the legal counsel representing the borrower;
3) Brief executive summary and brief bios of management (one or two pager total is fine);
