In a world void of humans, two robots reunite years after the night they first met, fell in love, and forced to
separate, hoping that they'd end up together.

Year 2010 - AUSTRALIA: Robotics inventor, Hugo Chivensky, has been supplying the world with robots that
have revolutionized the world.  He talks to his newest invention as if the robot was his first born son.  We only
see glimpses of this metallic being as Hugo installs a “soul chip” into its motherboard.  Hugo says a tearful
“goodbye” and flashes the robot’s memory and reboots it.  A few jolts renders the robot’s eyes to open and a
smile registers on it’s face.

Year 4015 - AUSTRALIA:  The famous Sydney, Australia landmarks are still standing but a whole new species
inhabits this metropolitan land from down under - robots.  Partial domes that reach to the heavens have been
created and cover the landscape as far as they eye can see.  Ad-bots have replaced billboards as they hover and
follow other robots pestering them to buy their product.  A robot is stocking shelves in a parts store and falls.
Immediately an ad-bot representing supplemental insurance runs an “Aflac” commercial.

The same smile that we saw back in 2010 is being registered by Darthbot, a menacing looking robot who is
spying on Chip; a biped model that still uses its legs to get around.  Ninety-five percent of the population hovers.
Chip is walking down the street with his ad-bot re-programmed to be a wise-cracking pet, PeeWee.  They
window shop for a Valentine’s Day present for his girlfriend  A Spy-bot hovers nearby and picks up the
conversation.

Chip accidently bumps into a strikingly beautiful female hover-bot, Twain, as they both reach for the same gift.
Twain really thinks this is the perfect gift for her boyfriend.  Chip apologizes but Twain doesn’t seem to mind
this lower “life” form that has legs.  Discouraged by PeeWee, a witty conversation full of banter and flirting
results in Chip buying the gift for her so that she can give it to her boyfriend.  In a gesture of appreciation and
intrigue, she invites Chip to “virtual coffee.”  PeeWee smells trouble.  Speaking of trouble, the Spy-bot hovers
outside of the coffee shop transmitting this video to an unknown data bank miles away.

Before Twain, Chip and PeeWee exit the coffee shop, Clean-bots are seen doing their hourly FOD (foreign object
debris) checks.  A real pigeon has infiltrated the city limits and perches on a ledge.  Alarms blare and the clean-
bots make numerous attempts to chase this biological being from making a biological mess on the pristine, dirt
free, dust free, pigeon droppings free, ground.

It is chased away to the applause of the robot citizens as Twain, Chip and PeeWee exit.  Twain and Chip make
plans to see each other again and wish each other a Happy Valentine’s Day; not really wanting this serendipitous
meeting to end...

...Later in the story...

They get into a deep conversation on why they can’t be together.  He’s got legs.  She hovers.  His belief in
biological intelligence.  Her belief in the “Manual” and its 10 laws.  His belief that everything happens for a
reason; there is a force greater than the all powerful “Windows”, the ruler of the robot civilization and “The
Network.”  She doesn’t want to hear about the fables of the “lost city of truth” but he does bring up some good
points that make her think.  And she can’t figure out why he refuses to update but on the other hand, his ability
to stick to his convictions and not conform attracts her even more.

Twain brings the “everything happens for a reason” theory back up and they make a pact.  They are to meet
tonight at midnight.  They won’t tell each other where.  If they both show up at the same place, then they were
meant to be together.  Excitement lights up their eyes then fear that this won’t work.
